Add a touch of roaring twenties elegance to your gallery wall with this fantastic vintage Art Deco silhouette!
Dating back to the 1920s or 1930s, this piece features a reverse-painted technique where the design is applied directly to the back of the glass. The artwork depicts a dapper Victorian gentleman in tails, bowing with his top hat and walking cane. The figure is framed by a striking white geometric border that is distinctively Art Deco in style.
The silhouette is set against a patterned foil background that has heavily oxidized over the last century, resulting in a beautifully mottled, sepia-toned patina that gives the piece incredible antique character. It is housed in its original black wooden frame with a subtle gold inner lip.
